PICA's TBA:09 is just weeks away, and we're looking for volunteers to help with gallery sitting. Volunteers for the ON SIGHT Visual Arts exhibit will assist with general gallery operations, greeting visitors, distributing materials and information, and overall security. Volunteers can earn vouchers that are redeemable for tickets to performances. PORTLAND INSTITUTE FOR CONTEMPORARY ART (PICA) presents the 2009 Time-Based Art Festival (TBA:09), PICA's annual convergence of contemporary performance, dance, music, new media and visual arts projects in Portland, OR USA from September 3-13, 2009 with visual art installations continuing through October, 2009. Now in its seventh year, the TBA Festival celebrates every form of contemporary art and is one of the only festivals of its kind in North America.

Description

The Time-Based Art Festival is a contemporary art festival of regional, national, and international artists presenting theatre, dance, music, film, visual exhibition and installation. PICA presents moments of movement and imagery under bridges, over rivers, on stages and throughout the city--all in Portland, Oregon, USA.
