Help out with our daytime programs at Reality Ministries, where we are creating opportunities for people with and without developmental disabilities to grow in friendship. Daytime programs are from 10:30-3:30 every weekday, so we can find a time that works for you! We're looking for volunteers who are excited about building relationships and walking alongside friends with disabilities as they participate in our programs. Activities include art, music, basketball, life skills, yoga, bowling, and more!

Helping adolescents live into the loving presence and life-changing reality of Jesus Christ .
With our Community Center in particular we seek to provide youth with a safe place where they find acceptance, love, enriching activities and significant relationships.
In Reality Ministries we especially want to reflect the heart of Jesus for those who are disenfranchised and marginalized due to poverty, violence, and lack of opportunity, as well as people with special needs. Our desire is to begin with "the least of these" - young people who are overlooked, ignored, voiceless and otherwise on the fringes of societal significance and ministry outreach.
Our starting point with young people who are on the margins will be complemented by our efforts on the other side of the spectrum, with those who are more privileged and entitled. In the teenage world racial, social, educational, intellectual and physical boundaries are too easily left unchallenged. In Reality Ministries we anticipate bringing our young friends together to break down these barriers in constructive ways that speak of the Kingdom of God.
Description
The Reality Center is geared to be a base of outreach to our community's youth. We are partnered with other local organizations and try to provide all the resources we can to the youth who come here.
After School: Every weekday from 3:30-6:00pm the center opens to all Middle school and High school youth. There is no fee for membership! We have a gym for sports and other activities, a game room, lounges, chapel and tutoring/homework rooms. Some current after school sessions include: cooking and nutrition, carpentry, community-service clubs, real men and real woman bible study groups...
Reality has a specific ministry called Tuesday Night Live, that meets most Tuesdays during the school year, with special events and summer camps. Tuesday Night Live is for youth with disabilities, their friends, (sometimes family members) and volunteer buddies.
Reality also runs different 'Reality Adventures' trips through out the year, as well as 'Reality Missions' usually during the summer.
