Help develop a love of reading for Kindergarten students througout Polk County. Become an RSVP Tale Teller and read out loud to kindergarten classes. Tale Tellers spend approximately 30 minutes per week in each kindergarten class they read to. Reading out loud helps develop phonics and develop a love of reading in children. Tale Tellers are able to read to multiple classes if desired.

Description
Leading Through Experience! You've gained a lifetime of experience. Now is the time to put your skills and talents to good use by volunteering through RSVP. RSVP provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through non-profit, faith-based, and governmental agencies to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of volunteers with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental accident insurance while on duty, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
