OMSI is looking for Greeter Volunteers!
Are you a people-person? Then there is no greater place for you than OMSI's lobby! You'll get the chance to greet and provide friendly and helpful service to OMSI visitors as they enter the museum's exhibit halls. You'll feel the excitement of countless excited families who are ready to explore and learn!
OMSI's Visitor Services opportunities include greeting visitors in the lobby, answering questions, taking tickets and assisting visitors as they queue-up for Submarine tours.
We are looking for folks who are at least 14 years old, who are able to provide excellent customer service, and who are looking to make a commitment to volunteering for at least 8 hours a month for 9 months.
In return, OMSI volunteers receive training and a lifelong learning experience, admission to the museum, OMNIMAX and Planetarium shows, and submarine tours, discounts in the Caf and Science Store, and the opportunity to meet many new people and learn more about OMSI! In addition, volunteers receive an OMSI Family Membership upon completion of 50 hours of volunteer service.

OMSI’s mission is to inspire curiosity through engaging science learning experiences, foster experimentation and the exchange of ideas, and stimulate informed action. Volunteers support the operation of five exhibit halls and eight science labs and hundreds of interactive exhibits and hands-on demonstrations.
Description
OMSI is an independent non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and relies on admissions, memberships, and donations to continue our educational mission, programs, and exhibits.
All are welcome at OMSI.
