Mission Statement

The mission of the Boca Raton Historical Society is to collect, preserve and present information and artifacts relevant to the past and evolving history of Boca Raton and to maintain a visible role in education and advocacy of historic preservation in our community.

Description

The Boca Raton Historical Society (BRHS) was founded in 1972 as a private, non-profit member organization and is headquartered in Historic Town Hall, built in 1927 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The BRHS owns and operates The Schmidt Boca Raton History Museum, which opened in November 2021 after extensive building upgrades and the installation of its History Alive! exhibits.
