First Home Alliance, a HUD-approved nonprofit counseling agency is currently seeking volunteer Loss Mitigation/Housing Counselors in the Northern Virginia area.
Experience in finance, mortgage loans and real estate industry is a plus. HUD certified Housing Counseling and Loss Mitigation training is available.
Some of the responsibilities will include:
· Customer Service to individuals who are behind on their mortgage payments
· Documentation and follow-up with Mortgage Servicers; seeking escalations in some cases to stop foreclosure sales
· Provide one-on-one counseling to homeowners experiencing mortgage default
