We need volunteers to work with our participants Monday through Friday from 9:30am-3:00pm on various activities. You can set up your hours during this time frame by contacting our Volunteer Coordinator at 719-0072 ext. 529.
Examples may be cooking classes, teaching how to sew, knit, dance, art therapy, music therapy, mild exercising activities from a video, or any low-impact activities, and sports you can do with the participants.
We want to bring the community in to socialize with our participants that we serve and bring more smiles to their face and yours!!!

Description
Participants come from 8:00-3:00 p.m., Monday-Friday, to participate in a multitude of programs and services. In addition to on-site and community paid employment, participants enjoy social and recreational activities such as community excursions, life skills training, exercise classes and creative activities. Participants also serve as volunteers in the community. In many ways, Harbor House provides a critical respite for families who most often must make life-altering sacrifices to care for their son or daughter with mental retardation and/or development disabilities.
