Help feed the hungry now! Join a dedicated group of volunteers who provide meals for those in need.

The Abingdon facility of the Feeding America Southwest Virginia Food Bank operates a soup kitchen that distributes lunch during the week to the hungry. We need volunteers Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 AM to 1 PM to help prepare and serve these meals.

Volunteers in the kitchen perform duties such as food preparation, cooking, serving, dishwashing and kitchen cleanup. In the soup kitchen, you'll get to distribute nutritious meals to people in need and meet the people you are serving. It's a great way of giving back to the community.
