Children's Charity: Make blankets for sick or in need kids

How you can help!

Make blanket(s) in you home, school, church, club, group or guild for local seriously ill or traumatized kids. These blankets go to local hospitals, shelters, women's services, agencies that help children, cancer centers; foster programs etc...The children who receive these blankets range in age from preemie to young adult.

We need new handmade knitted, crocheted, quilted, flannel and/or no-sew fleece blankets, 40 inches X 40 inches AND larger, machine washable, in bright child friendly colors. Any pattern of your choice is great. No wool or wool blends please.

Others ways to help: sewing on the LINUS label, helping at events, preparing blankets for delivery at meetings. Donate stamps, money, blanket making supplies; (batting, material, fleece and yarn)

Project Linus is a 100% volunteer organization with a two-fold mission.

To provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer "blanketeers".
