Health Care Advocacy Rapid Response Team Volunteer
Organization |
Description
Planned Parenthood in Pennsylvania is building Rapid Response Teams across the state! Rapid Response Teams are made up of committed volunteers to help protect women's health care in the years ahead. Our immediate goal is to ensure that Planned Parenthood's patients and care are included in health care reform. When women's health care services are at stake, we will call upon YOU to help us respond immediately -- by contacting other supporters in your district and asking them to contact legislators and other policy makers. As the health care reform process moves quickly along, this kind of immediate grassroots mobilization will make all the difference!
Rapid Responders will be responsible for the following:
1) Receive a health care reform briefing from Planned Parenthood staff - once.
2) Attend Health Care Advocacy Phone banks - whenever possible. Phone banks are held weekly.
3) Participate in Rapid Response Activations by calling fellow supporters to ask them to take action, including calling members of Congress and other policy makers - approx once per month, or as needed
Training date(s): Scheduled individually based on availability.
