The in-kind donation volunteer is a position for someone who has interest in gaining contacts with local business and honing one's leadership skills. It will be a wonderful experience to put on a resume.

This person will be in charge of solely getting physical items donated. This person will have to be very organized and detailed oriented. They will be required to write requests,small grants and thank you letters. It will be a major plus if this person has community and business contacts. They will be required to do the follow up when they do receive a donation, which includes thank you letters, meeting with the donor, just to name a few. This person will need to be over 21 and will have to go through a back ground check. They will be working closely with the development team and special event and silent auction volunteers.

The work schedule is very flexible and will allow the volunteer to work from home as well. The time commitment will vary depending on if there is an event that needs items donated for it of if there is a specific cause that needs some items donated.
