Make a difference in your community by being an Adult Education tutor! Tutors at Howard Area Community Center have the unique opportunity to teach adult learners basic reading, writing, math, GED prep, and English as a Second Language. Tutors meet one-on-one or with small groups for 1.5 - 2 hours/week. We're flexible with your schedule! No experience needed! We ask that tutors attend 12 hours of training provided free by the organization and also commit to 6 months of service in order to create a stable learning environment.
