Description

Unlocking the power of people for a quarter century--creating policy change, putting faith in action, leaving a legacy of leadership.

For nearly 25 years now, the Orange County Congregation Community Organization (OCCCO) has been working with low-income families to improve their quality of life. Through our work, millions of dollars have been invested in communities throughout Orange County.

Through the vision of OCCCO-trained community leaders and congregations, partnerships with local stakeholders have been developed, community clinics have opened, roads have been paved, policies affecting health care, affordable housing, and code enforcement have been drawn up, and more.

Currently, we are working with 22 congregations and community groups representing 48,000 families; we are organizing in seven cities in Orange County, totaling more than one million people; and we are investing in 275 residents, community leaders, the engine of our organization.

Throughout our history as an organization we have sought to bring policy change by encouraging neighborhood leaders to put their faith in action. We are stewarding a legacy of leadership and civic responsibility, ensuring better tomorrows for all families in Orange County.
