Volunteers are needed to provide pet assistance to seniors and under 60 with disabilities. Assistance could be bringing food and supplies if needed, nail trims, veterinarian appoitments, care of a pet while a senior is in the hospital or not feeling well, matching seniors with a pet and being a part of clinics that are set up at various locations throughout Somerville and Cambridge. These clinics will be set up to provide group services such as nail trims and vacinations and education on being a responsible senior pet owner and advising them about provisions to provide care for their beloved pets in the event that something happens to them. Not necessary to provide all service that senior may need. Volunteers can do as many of the needs or pick and choose assignments. For more information contact Marie Mazzeo at 617-628-2601 x 3051.
