Volunteers
Much of our daily work (keeping cages/kennels/yards clean; assisting with feedings; walking/rotating dogs; doing laundry; washing dishes; etc.) is done by volunteers. You can help by giving your love and a few hours each week. No experience is necessary. Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older (and be willing to work hard and get dirty). Volunteers working for community service or school service hours must be willing to work a minimum of 40 hours.
Volunteer Orientations are generally conducted at the shelter on Saturday mornings. Once you have submitted an application to volunteer, we will contact you to schedule a Volunteer Orientation, as we have a limited number of spots open per orientation. Here is the volunteer application: http://www.animalcaresociety.org/volunteer-application-and-agreement

About Animal Care Society
Location:

Mission Statement
MISSION
The Animal Care Society's prime purpose is to find new, caring homes for pets whose owners can no longer give them the love or care they need. We provide a "home away from home" atmosphere and access to medical care. Because our space is limited and we do not practice euthanasia, a pet's age, temperment, and health are factors we must assess before taking in any pet.
Description
Animal Care Society is a non-profit, no-kill adoption center for dogs and cats
