Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent/Early Care and Education and with the direct counsel of the Family Resource Council Operations Supervisor, schedules and facilitates/ coordinates parent education training programs/modules, parent involvement programs, parent information meetings and workshops; provides expertise and technical assistance to the community related to research-based parenting strategies; serves as a resource to and liaison with other community entities serving parent populations including, but not limited to, school districts, county agencies, and community-based organizations.

• · Practices, procedures and techniques involved in the development and implementation curriculum implementation and training programs for parents and adult learners. · Knowledge, experience and specialized training in parenting techniques and child development. · Demonstrated ability to relate to and understand the needs and experiences of fathers through prior experience or specialized training. · Diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of children and families. · Policies and objectives of assigned programs and activities. · Oral and written standard English grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary. · Public speaking techniques. · Interpret and apply applicable laws, codes, regulations, policies and procedures. · Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy. · Operation of a computer and assigned software. · Basic public relations techniques. · Technical aspects of parent training programs. · Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. · Meet schedules and time lines. · Plan and organize work. · Other related essential functions as assigned.
