Description
One way you can change a person's life is by helping them realize their potential through improving their literacy skills. Reading/literacy tutors are sought through an agency of California Libraries. Training is provided and volunters are matched with adults needing help to improve their reading/writing skills.
After the training is completed volunteers need only give a few hours a week.
Skills
- Patience with adult learners/ culturally sensitive. Must be able to commit to a weekly schedule. Must be 55 to volunteer with RSVP
