The Montgomery County SPCA provides all medical care for the animal, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and FIV/FLV screening. We can also loan supplies such as litter boxes, crates, and water and food bowls.
Won't you open your heart and home to an animal in need? No experience is required to become a foster, just a loving environment.
The responsibilities as a foster include:
- Day to day care of your foster cat.
- At least one visit to the MCSPCA vet for a full exam. All cats are up to date on vaccinations as well as spay/neutered before adoption. All vet expenses are covered by the MCSPCA.
- Assist with the screening of perspective adopters.
- Attend one or two cat adoption events each month, which are held on Saturday or Sunday afternoons in Rockville and Germantown, Maryland.
