Teach basic English to adults from our community, mainly immigrants and refugees, on a 1-to-1 basis, as they come with varying levels of understanding and from several countries in the world.
Also, a few of our students want to take the classes to become an American Citizen!
Lastly, we plan to incorporate teaching some basic life skills (e.g., how to shop, how to manage a savings/checking account, transporation information, how to mail a letter, employment opportunity information, health-case information, etc). Also, there is a special Bible Study for the "New American" community on Sunday mornings.
Most of these classes are held each Thursday evening, 6:30 - 7:30 pm, but, some are held at other times, as mutually agreeable between the teacher and the student.
