Description
Volunteers needed in the Azalea Collection at the U.S. National Arboretum. Volunteers help with the following tasks:
- Maintains a collection of over 60 year old Azaleas.
- Pruning of Azaleas.
- Removal of invasive species.
- Some trail work.
- Some propogation.
- Raking and mulching.
Volunteers work year round.
Skills
- Gardening: Volunteer must be able to garden using a variety of tools such as pruners, loppers, rakes, hand tools, and more. Familiarity with gardening a plus, but not required.
