Event Assistant

Position Description
We have an opening for an Event Intern for Summer/Fall 2009. Our Event Intern will work directly with the Development Team to assist in organizing WTC's 9th Annual Auction for Action. General tasks include coordinating and supervising volunteers for this special event, data entry, and item procurement and pick-up. The auction will take place at Seattle Center's Fisher Pavilion on October 15, 2009.

Washington Toxics Coalition(WTC) is a non-profit organization that protects health and the environment by eliminating toxic pollution. Since 1981, WTC has promoted alternatives, advocated policies, empowered communities, and educated people to create a healthy environment.

Commitment
10 hours a week until the event, and the day and evening of the event on October 15, 2009.

Skills

  • Who We Are Looking For An enthusiastic individual, who is highly motivated, enjoys multi-tasking, and who is comfortable with email, phone, and face-to-face communication. The position will require working in a PC computer environment. Auction database experience is a plus.
