Volunteer at the Kidney Awareness Run | Walk Cleveland!
Organization |
Description
The DaVita Kidney Awareness Run/Walks are a nationwide series of family-friendly 5K run/walks aimed at raising funds and education about kidney disease.
The 2010 events will feature a screening for kidney disease at no cost, entertainment and games for the whole family, as well as a kidney health expo to help promote awareness about chronic kidney disease.
The funds raised for this year's events will help to benefit The Kidney TRUST, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization working to prevent kidney disease through public education and awareness across the United States.
Volunteers support participants on the day-of the event by setting up, running, and breaking down the food & beverage, registration, merchandise, volunteer, and kids areas in addition to cheering walkers and runners on and ensuring that everyone has a positive and rewarding experience.
