Looking for a great way to provide a much needed service to your community? AARP Tax-Aide is the nation's largest free volunteer-run tax counseling and preparation service. Assistance is provided to middle and low-income taxpayers with special attention given to those 60 and older. Sites are located throughout Okaloosa County and are open from February 1 through April 15. The sites are open during the week, during evenings, and on Saturdays. In addition to income tax preparers, volunteers are needed to load software and troubleshoot hardware and software problems and also to implement and maintain publicity and recruitment efforts.
