The Meals on Wheels program provides an opportunity for "shut-ins" or homebound seniors to receive a hot, home delivered meal on a temporary or long term basis, for those seniors who cannot prepare meals for themselves and do not have family or friends to provide assistance. We provide important daily social contact, a safety net system and resource/referral services as needed.
These Volunteers are the vital link in our services and add an immeasurable human value to the quality of what we do. We believe that those we serve deserve to be treated with dignity and respect and our volunteers are the living examples of that belief. Many of our seniors tell us the best part about meal delivery is the friendly, caring volunteers. Meals-on-Wheels offer many opportunities for those who want to get involved with a nonprofit in their community and help seniors stay independent.More opportunities with Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels

Description
Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels (FBS) provides comprehensive services and programs including meals on wheels, congregate meals, transportation, case management, health and nutrition education, information and referral services, recreation, telephone reassurance and much more. Each of these programs and services enable area seniors to remain in their homes and continue to be an integral part of the community for as long as possible.
