VolunteerMatch is searching for a motivated Communications Engineer Intern to help us build small innovative projects that positively promote VolunteerMatch, and are fun and informative for our users.

We're hoping to find an energetic self-starter with great communication skills as you'll be working closely, and potentially remotely, with our communications department.

Technically we're fairly open, with our only requirement being either very comfortable, or very eager to become so, with whatever language you prefer, be it PHP, Python, Ruby, etc.

We anticipate projects ranging from quick one-off site designs, to more involved user-generated-content sites complete with database backends and robust JavaScript frontends.

• We want this to be a fun and informative experience for you.
  
  
• The length of this internship is flexible but, ideally, it would last for 4 months at minimum.
  
  
• We are located in downtown San Francisco. If you're local, great. If you're not, that's okay too. The most important thing is that we can communicate easily.
  
  
• There is no time requirement. There are deadlines. We need your commitment to see a project through from start to finish.
  
  
• This is an unpaid internship. We can work with your college/university to translate your time and experience into credit.
