This assignment involves doing Internet research to learn the organization name; location (city, state/province, and country); website address; the organization's sports/culutural activities; a contact person's name, telephone number, and email address; and what language its website is published in. In 1-3 hours per week you can help us better understand how we can add new members to the Gay Games Movement.

Mission Statement
The purpose of The Federation of Gay Games, Inc. (the "Federation") shall be to foster and augment the self-respect of gay men and women throughout the world and to engender respect and understanding from the non-gay world, primarily through an organized, international athletic and cultural event held every four years commonly known as the "Gay Games." Following the Federation's guiding principle of inclusion, activities shall be inclusive in nature and no individual shall be excluded from participating on the basis of sexual orientation, gender, race, religion, nationality, ethnic origin, political belief(s), athletic/artistic ability, age, physical challenge, or health status.
Description
The Federation of Gay Games perpetuates the quadrennial Gay Games and safeguards its founding principles of Participation, Inclusion, and Personal Best™. An all-volunteer organisation, the Federation is made up of individuals and organisations representing four continents. The Federation consists of a board of directors and an assembly of organisations. Currently, all of the board members belong to one of the organisations in the assembly. Assembly organisations govern single and/or multiple sport or cultural disciplines, and they can be local, national or international in scope. The member organisations are more than a list of groups that support the Gay Games -- their delegates are actively involved in the Federation's work and decision-making. All are dedicated to ensuring the continuation of the Gay Games' 25 year history of inspiration and achievement. It carries out: - Outreach and promotional activities aimed at encouraging participation in the Gay Games - and in sports and cultural activities - Oversight of the host of the Gay Games, including selecting the host and working with the host to ensure that each Gay Games are successful. - Communications about the Gay Games to our constituents around the world, through our website, newsletters, and resource documents. - Fundraising and events sponsorships.
- Scholarships for persons to attend the Gay Games for second and third world countries.
