InterAct Cleveland members actively engage with one another through intentional interreligious dialogue and action to help shape positive responses to the challenges facing Greater Cleveland, including religious diversity itself. We are a non-profit coalition of more than fifty congregations, faith communities, campus groups, and community organizations. Job Title: InterAct Cleveland Program Intern
Stipend: Unpaid Internship with possible health benefits depending on number of hours
Dates of Position: September 2009-May 2010
Hours: 10-20 hours per week
The InterAct Cleveland Program Intern will work alongside InterAct Cleveland Volunteer Administrator to develop, administer, and sustain interreligious dialogue and community service programs in the Greater Cleveland area, particularly the Homeless Stand Down.
Supervisor: Toni Sacco, Volunteer Administrator
Responsibilities include assisting with:
- The preparation, organization, and event coordination of the Homeless Stand Down
- Recruitment and coordination of 750 volunteers and donations/clothing purchases for over 2,000 people for a three day mid-winter service event.

- Administration of Congregate Meals Program, InterAct Youth Fellows, and Pilot Program
- General office work, data entry, scheduling, and reception
Skills
- Qualifications: * An interest or openness to religious diversity, community service, and the non-profit sector * Self motivated and well-organized with a desire to learn * Comfortable in working in diverse settings with a wide array of people * Solid written, verbal, organizational, and computer skills Intern will have the opportunity to: * Manage an event with over 2,000 guests and 700 volunteers * Hone skills in event planning, community organizing, program development, communications, and volunteer coordination * Meet individuals of different religious backgrounds * Perform community service to benefit Greater Cleveland * Contribute to the development and facilitation of interreligious and service programs * Work closely with social service agencies and religious congregations * Learn from InterAct's unique, dignity-affirming model for interaction between those who give and receive aid
