CLAIM is a statewide program that provides free, confidential and unbiased health insurance counseling to Missourians with Medicare and their families.

We have more than 250 certified counselors providing local Medicare counseling in 130 Missouri communities. CLAIM trains and certifies volunteer counselors to assist people locally. These volunteers' help Missourians work through and understand Medicare options, benefits or changes. CLAIM counselors can assist with:

• Medicare eligibility, enrollment and claims forms
• Employment and retirement health benefit questions
• Supplemental insurance policies
• Medicare Advantage options, such as HMO's and PPO's
• Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage
• Long-term care planning
• Public benefit programs
• Fraud and abuse

The CLAIM program is free of charge to those who need counseling. The monthly minimum volunteer time requirement is 6-8 hours.
