Volunteering or interning as a Resource Assistant is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys researching, organizing, and inputting data. Our Resource Department is responsible for updating our dynamic 5,000-program database to reflect the most current information on community, health, and disaster relief services. Responsibilities include researching and contacting local agencies, gathering information about the services they provide, and entering that information into our database. We are also able to tailor job tasks to your interests and unique talents!
Volunteer and interns directly impact the lives of the people who contact 211OC for help. They gain valuable knowledge of local governmental and non-profit health and human service agencies and of the programs these agencies offer to the community. Volunteers and interns are trained in database navigation, information and referral standards, public speaking, and more. At 211OC, we welcome the help we receive from volunteers and interns. And there are a number of ways you can help!
