Adult volunteers (ages 16 ) are needed to read to or tutor children! Flexible hours available: days, evenings, weekends.
Storytellers: No experience required; you will be trained by library staff to conduct storytimes. Opportunities for assisting with larger children's programs are also available.
Tutors: Tutoring to children in grades K-6. Must be available at least one weekday from 3-5pm. Teaching experience a plus!

Orange Public Library & History Center: TUTORS NEEDED! Also accepting applications for storytellers and library program assistants.
All adult volunteers must fill out an application and complete drug testing and fingerprinting. All expenses incurred covered by the City of Orange. Please note that City policy does not allow the library to accept court-referred volunteers.

Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
