McLaren Greater Lansing Seeks Volunteers

McLaren Greater Lansing volunteers are a vital link in the hospital's long-standing tradition of providing clinically excellent, compassionate health care to mid-Michigan families.

More than two dozen separate volunteer services provide distinct opportunities for volunteers to share their special touches and expertise with patients and their families, physicians, and employees. Volunteer opportunities are as varied and diverse as volunteers themselves. Whether you are interested in something very active, or something sedentary, something with lots of patient contact, or something behind the scenes, we have a volunteer opportunity for you. Currently there is a high need in such areas as our Escort Services (escorting patients and guests to departments and areas throughout the hospital), Endoscopy (preparing patient carts, passing beverages to patients, providing patients with warm blankets, assembling patient packets, helping with clerical duties, etc.), the McRee Guest House (a 'home away from home' for our patient families) and the Peppermint Boutique (running the cash register, assisting customers, stocking shelves, etc.). Many other areas are also in great need of volunteer assistance.
