NAMI-SFV, National Alliance on Mental Illness San Fernando Valley is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to serving families and individuals living with severe mental illness. All of our services are free. We provide information, education and advocacy through our Family-toFamily and Peer-to-Peer classes, Care and Share support groups and monthly Speaker Series. We also reach out to the community to ensure that people who need us know where to find us and the help and support we can provide.
We need help to let our community know about NAMI-SFV services and resources.
Join our outreach team to attend outreach events to provide information and answer questions on NAMI-SFV at community fairs, health fairs, special events. NAMI - SFV outreach efforts are on-going and there are opportunities at least once a month, sometimes more often, to help us get the word out to the community about NAMI SFV valuable programs and services. Thank you for your interest in helping us reach out to help others.

ALSO - we welcome your participation as a walker or walk team leader in NAMI WALKS 2009 on October 03, 2009 in Santa Monica.
NAMI WALKS is our annual fundraiser that ensures NAMI can continue to provide free education and information to our community. Even if you are not in Los Angeles area for the October 3rd walk, you can heIp by creating a virtual walk team to help us raise awareness about mental illness, NAMI programs and services and the need to overcome stigma of mental illness.
