Description
Corporate volunteers are needed to join the ranks of chapter disaster volunteers when a local, large-scale disaster happens. RWTC volunteers serve as "reserves" that can be called upon when disaster response requires more than the normal corps of chapter volunteers. RWTC volunteers are trained in specialty areas of service, such as:
- Sheltering
- Mass Care
- Damage Assessment
- Logistics
- Casework
- Media & Public Relations
Skills
- Desire to help during a disaster: Commitment to the Red Cross mission.Ability to work under stressful conditions and serve a diverse community. Good communication and organizational skills required. Training is provided.
