Volunteer needed to provide massages to participants of BABES Network-YWCA, a peer support program for women living with HIV, Annual Retreat on Vashon Island. You will be providing an invaluable service and improving our women's quality of life during the retreat. This gives BABES members the opportunity to receive a service they do not often have access to due to financial limitations. Your massage services will physically and mentally improve our women's overall health and allow for a successful annual retreat!
We are looking for volunteers for July 10 and 11, 2009 (although volunteers are invited to arrive on July 9 and stay through July 12). Free meals and lodging will be provided. Transportation will be reimbursed. Please visit www.campburton.com to view the location!
In the past, volunteer LMPs have given massages from 10am to 4pm, one massage per hour, although we are happy to discuss the scheduling needs of volunteers on an individual basis.

BABES Network Services Description:
Provides peer counseling, advocacy, support groups, special events, referrals, education and outreach to women living with HIV in Washington State. BABES also provides prevention-related outreach to women in high schools, homeless shelters, jails and treatment centers. Our monthly newsletter, BABES Talking, reaches women around the world.
