Land and Water Search and Rescue -
The Tri-State Emergency Team is recruiting volunteers. We are looking for certified scuba divers, experienced boat handlers, and people who enjoy hiking and the outdoors in general and who wish to help people in need. The Team will provide training and complete support as needed. Our headquarters is located in Waterford. Applicants need not live in Waterford to Volunteer. Mission Statement
The Tri-State Emergency Team is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that was formed in 1958. It is our mission to provide wild land and underwater searches within an 100 mile radius of Waterford, NY. This includes properly trained and equipped rescuers in land-based Search and Rescue (SAR) operations and underwater rescues and recoveries. . The Tri-State Emergency Team responds when requested by NYS Forest Rangers and other police agencies throughout New York State, Western Vermont, and Massachusetts.
