For high school students who need to complete community service projects or high school seniors who need to complete their senior project, the Crescenz Veterans Affairs Medical Center is for you!
THE DEADLINE FOR HIGH SCHOOL APPLICATIONS IS MAY 1ST EVERY YEAR.
Community Service Projects:
Students who are interested in performing their community service hours must sign up as a voluneteer one year prior to project and volunteer at least 25 hours prior to start of project. Project proposal must be submitted in writing.
Senior Graduation Projects:
High school seniors who need to complete senior graduation projects must contact Voluntary Service eight (8) weeks prior to start of potential project. Project proposal must be submitted in writing. Students who are interested in conducting their project must sign up as a volunteer six months prior to project and volunteer at least 25 hours prior to start of project.
Students should submit requests which are reasonable in scope and have a positive impact on patient care, healthcare, etc. Project requests should not include observations of surgeries or shadowing clinicians (doctors, nurses, etc.) as these will not be approved.
