The American Red Cross, Twentynine Palms works jointly with Robert E Bush Naval Medical Center by placing volunteers throughout the Naval Hospital. Locations currently available include:

1. Clinics (open M-F 0730-1630)

• OB/Gyn
• Pediatrics
• Patient Administration

Departments (open 24-hours)

1. Emergency Room
2. Pharmacy
3. Radiology

Volunteers will be responsible for answering phone calls, directing patients, assisting with charting (as trained), and other general clerical duties. Volunteers may also, depending on training, be asked to assist with medical duties such as taking vital signs and filling pharmaceutical prescriptions.

Childcare reimbusement is available during volunteer hours.

• Must be good with people and have excellent communications skills. Must be reliable and able to set a schedule with the department on a bi-weekly basis. Volunteers at the Naval Hospital are required to volunteer a minimum of 8 hours per week.
