Description
The Mission of the Diabetes Society is to improve the lives of people affected by diabetes through education, advocacy, support services, and partnerships.
The Outreach Department has opportunities for volunteer registered nurses who are interested in conducting glucose screenings for community health fairs and events, organizations, diabetes education programs, and corporate businesses.
Screenings last anywhere from 1to 4 hours long, depending on the amount of interested participants or the length of the health fair or event.
Prior to starting, RN's will be instructed on glucose screening protocols.
