Electrical Systems Assessment Project

Description

Unpaid staff member will create a safer service environment for the children, youth, and adults served by CFC by conducting a thorough assessment and documentation of CFC's electrical systems throughout its six owned locations.

Responsibilities:
• Create documented electronic profiles of each building's electrical system after a systematic assessment conducted in partnership with the Facilities team. Includes: • Single line drawings and inventory • Review for capacity • Safety issues • Energy savings potential

Training and support:
• CFC unpaid staff orientation (one time) • Behavioral Health Management Training (one time) • Support and on-the-job training from Director of Facilities (ongoing) • Support from Volunteer Program Management Office (ongoing) • Training opportunities including invitations to CFC trainings for all staff as appropriate (ongoing) • Staff evaluation and recognition programs (ongoing)

Skills

  • Qualifications: • Electrical engineer or licensed electrician or equivalent • Knowledge of fundamental construction, maintenance, building and safety codes/ regulations and fundamental engineering principles preferred. • Must be skilled at organizing, establishing priorities, scheduling work assignments and solutions • Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbally and written) and negotiation skills are essential • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community • Bondable • Commitment to CFC's mission, and a good understanding of how this project relates to CFC's mission and future viability • Must be able to regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds Screening: • Nonconviction statement • BCII • FBI • Three references
