If you or your group are looking for a fun, satisfying volunteer experience, join us at the Books For Africa warehouse!

Most African children who attend school have never owned a book of their own. For many children in Africa, the gift of books truly is a gift of hope. Since 1988, Books For Africa has sent over 20 million books to the children of Africa.

We rely on volunteers like you to sort and pack the books for our shipments. No heavy lifting is involved. Volunteers should be age 12 years or older. Individuals or groups of up to 80 people are welcome to volunteer.

Volunteers give two or more hours of their time and meet at our warehouse on:

• Monday through Thursday from 9 am-3 pm
• First and third Saturdays of every month from 9 am-2 pm

Once you have decided on a date, time, and number of volunteers, please email deb@booksforafrica.org with this information. You will receive a confirmation email with a link to a map to our warehouse. If you have a group of 80 people or more, please call 404-603-8680 and we can see if accommodations can be made.
