The 7th annual stART on the Street festival is seeking fun enthusiastic volunteers to assist in planning and hosting the largest free arts festival in Central New England. Taking place in Worcester, MA we look forward to welcoming over 250 regional artists and 25,000+ attendees to this exciting one day street festival!

The exact location of the festival is Park Avenue from Pleasant Street to Highland Street in Worcester, MA

The rain date is Sunday September 27, 2009

• Volunteers are asked to attend one orientation meeting before the festival and volunteer for at least a 3 -hour time period during the festival. Volunteers receive a free T-shirt, bottled water and coupon for a slice of pizza Most tasks require walking but we do have some tasks where volunteers may remain in one location Examples of volunteer opportunities: * special projects in the months leading up to the festival * youth area - assisting with various youth activities * setting up different areas of the festival (some lifting may be involved) * assisting and directing artists arriving at the festival * directing traffic * selling merchandise and giving out information to festival attendees * emptying trash and recycling * clean-up of the food court * packing up supplies after the festival * basic clean-up
