Your gift of "presence" during the last days of a hospice patient's life can help to provide a peaceful transition from life to death. Arbor Hospice's By Your Side volunteer program is seeking some very special volunteers to sit with hospice patients during their final days of life. Our hope is that no one dies alone. Volunteers may provide companionship by simply being present with the patient who is dying without family members or friends available, or may provide support to family members sitting at the bedside of their loved one.
Arbor Hospice recommends that any person who has suffered a personal loss wait a period of 12 months prior to volunteering.
