Are you an outgoing, friendly, people person? Help out at Tryon Creek State Natural Area by answering phones and greeting visitors at the front desk. Nature Center Hosts also sell items in the gift store and help staff with small projects. This is a fun way to get involved with your community by helping us to connect them with nature. We prefer that you committ to one four hour shift every week or twice monthly, but we are flexible and need trained substitutes as well.

The mission of Friends of Tryon Creek, in partnership with Oregon State Parks, is to inspire every community to identify, cultivate or reclaim their relationship with nature in this cherished urban forest.

Strengthened by 50 years of experience, this new direction represents our intention to create programming, space and pathways for all communities and people to feel comfortable in the forest.
