You donate your time and your money--why not donate your blood? With less than an hour of your time, you can help save the lives of local patients in your community. Please join us at the Central Illinois Community Blood Center to "give what's in your heart." We are the blood provider for area patients of 15 counties at 12 central Illinois hospitals. We are the only blood provider for Memorial Medical Center and St. John's Hospital. If you have any questions about donating blood call 1-866-GIVE-BLD . Our donor room is located at 1134 S. 7th Street in Springfield and is open Monday through Saturday. Walk-ins to our donor room or at blood drives are always welcome, but to schedule an appointment online or find blood drives in your area, please visit us on the web at www.CICBC.org

Mission Statement
The mission of the Central Illinois Community Blood Center is to provide the highest quality blood and related services to meet the needs of the communities we serve.
Description
Central Illinois Community Blood Center (CICBC), a division of Mississippi valley Regional Blood Center, is a nonprofit organization founded in 1971 at the request of Memorial Medical Center & Saint John's Hospital in Springfield, Illinois. CICBC plays an integral role in the community's health by reliably serving the regional and national community for over 30 years, collecting more than 180,000 units annually in Iowa, illinois, Wisconsin, and Missouri.
CICBC is community-based and wholly dependent on blood collections from volunteer donors. Once local needs are met, MVRBC assists a national network of community blood centers through a resource-sharing program. Licensed by the US Food & Drug Administration and accredited by the American Association of Blood Banks, CICBC is a member of America's Blood Centers, North America's largest network of nonprofit community centers, which collects half of the US blood supply.
