Knoxville Leadership Foundation's Mentoring Services are community-based and offer one-on-one and group mentoring opportunities! Each of our mentoring programs serves at-risk youth in our community who are in need of a caring adult mentor that will help them reach their highest potential. Studies show that youth who are engaged in a consistent and committed mentoring relationship do better in school, gain self-confidence, and are more likely to make consistent, positive healthy life choices.

We provide screened-and-trained mentors from the community to walk along side a child for one year doing fun activities that build trust, friendship, and self-confidence. Since 2004, Amachi Knoxville has matched over 600 kids with consistent and committed mentoring relationships. To become a mentor with the Knoxville Leadership Foundation, call us at (865) 524-2774 or email Kathryn Compeau at kcompeau@klf.org for more information.

Mission Statement

The Knoxville Leadership Foundation serves the Knoxville area by connecting communities of resource with communities of need while reconciling people to Jesus Christ and to each other.

Description

KLF is a faith-based organization that believes our city can be transformed through reconciliation. Reconciliation occurs when people from different communities and walks of life roll up their sleeves, work side-by-side and really begin to understand and appreciate each other. This is what our programs do: they bring people together to work on targeted problems in our city that put people at serious risk. Our programs are effectively and efficiently staffed and managed. All people have to do is plug in, join in and watch transformation happen.
