Bake for Hope is hosting hundreds of volunteer run bake sales in every community across the country. Scheduled for the week before Mother's Day, the purpose of this event is two-fold: to provide an easy way for everyone to participate in giving back and to honor and show support of mothers, women and families everywhere dealing with breast cancer.

100% of the events' proceeds will go directly to local affiliates of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation.

• Participation is easy for all ages. Supporters can sign up as bake sale Organizers, Bakers, Communicators, Sponsors, Donors or attend a bake sale in their area. To sign up visit www.bakefohope.org. Once you choose how you would like to volunteer visit the Meetup.com site in your area. Meetup.com sites are being used to launch the event and communicate with volunteers. Several major cities already have dozens of bakers and organizers signed up, including New York , Chicago, Minneapolis, Seattle, San Francisco, Denver, San Diego, Portland, Charlotte, Houston, Phoenix, and Tampa . More city websites are being launched each week.
