Office Support Needed - 4-6 hours every other week The Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition recruits and supports foster and adoptive homes in the St. Louis area. We work to find permanent homes for foster children and we support foster/adoptive families through a wide variety of programs - from advocacy and training to providing birthday and holiday presents for foster children.

We would love to find a responsible computer-literate volunteer who could help us one day every other week (between 10:00 am and 4:30 pm M, T or Th) with a variety of office projects. Our volunteer would help with a wide variety of projects - including making phone calls, drafting letters, doing research and data entry. He/she would be exposed to a variety of programs that help foster children.

FACC's passionate, dedicated staff shower our volunteers with praise - we truly appreciate them!

Please respond via this posting or contact Shelley Thomas-Benke, Director of FosterServe Volunteers, at 314-367-8373 or shelleythomasbenke@foster-adopt.org for more details.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to create permanency in every foster child's life by recruiting and supporting foster/adoptive homes in the St. Louis metropolitan community.

Description

The Foster and Adoptive Care Coalition is a non-profit agency, founded in 1985 with the support of the United Way of Greater St. Louis. Our mission is to create permanency in every foster child's life by recruiting and supporting foster/adoptive homes in the St. Louis metropolitan community.

Our vision is for a community that embraces its most vulnerable members, ensuring that each child in foster care has an opportunity for a healthy, successful life by providing safe, nurturing homes, and a support system for foster and adoptive families as they fulfill the physical, mental, and emotional needs of the children in their care.

Our services are: 1) unique and needed in our community; 2) based on best practice and research; and 3) constantly measured for effectiveness. To leverage the maximum number of services for our families, we continually seek to develop collaborations with community partners.
