Would you like to experience the presence and comfort of being with someone through the dying process? If so, Optum Palliative and Hospice Care would like to hear from you to become a member of a very special team...volunteers that support family and patient during the active dying stage. Volunteers who have experienced this role state "this is a privilege and has added greatly to the quality of my life."

You will meet family and patient on all levels of the active dying journey; physically, emotionally and spiritually. This includes directly supporting the patient, advocating for patient needs and supporting family members through education and reassurance in the death process.

Optum Hospice is a community based organization, traveling to nursing facilities and private homes in the Metro Denver area. Assignments will be made geographically close to your home.
