Position Summary:
This position will provide assistance with securing incentive prizes to motivate team captains in recruitment efforts for our fundraising events
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Work with staff liaison for direction on prizes needed
- Contact various companies and organizations to secure donations
- Provide administrative follow-up for prize securing (i.e., send letters, phone calls)
- Provide input on copy and messaging to promote gifts
- Other duties as assigned
Requirments:
- Ability and high comfort level to "cold call" organizations
- Professional and courteous
- Some familiarity with Microsoft Outlook
- Working knowledge of Excel
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Strong administrative duties
- Positive attitude

Description
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society funds more MS research, offers more services for people with MS, provides more professional education programs and advances more MS advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world. Through its home office and nationwide network of chapters, the National MS Society provides assistance to over a million people annually in its continuing mission to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis.
Seeking volunteers to the MS cause is the very core of our business. Each year the Society organizes a series of community events that provide many opportunities for the enthusiastic volunteer. The Society offers four key fund-raising activities:
- Bike MS
- Walk MS
The Society also engages volunteers to help influence lawmakers at the federal, state and municipal levels toward legislation important to people living with MS. The Society is looking for passionate volunteers with expertise in areas such as:
- Marketing/Communications
- Public relations
- Corporate and donor development
- Medical, legal, administrative.
