TITLE: Vice President, Curriculum & Instruction

Reports To: President & CEO

Position Description :

The Vice President of Curriculum & Instruction is responsible for directing the Environmental Education Academy of the Environmental Community as well as a variety of services. The Service will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop Curriculum
  • Serve as an associate of the President & CEO's Senior Leadership Team
  • Supervise and evaluate all Directors, Instructors, and Associates on a Quarterly Basis.
  • Design, develop, and implement a system of persistence and retention to the Education Center.
  • Support, facilitate, and conduct Environmental Research regarding the Education Center.
  • Help students think in "Environmental Ways"
  • Support students to take on new challenges and growth
  • Develop a network with middle & high schools, Board of Educations, and various businesses across the United States
  • Create a network plan for each students
  • Review and assess the student's performance in the classroom, as well as the curriculum and instruction delivery.

Responsibilities :

In addition, the Vice President of Curriculum & Instruction will:

  • Support students to take on new challenges and growth in Environmental Ways
  • Is a responsible steward of organization resources.
  • Works with the President & CEO, associates, and other directors and schools throughout the United States to coordinate and prepare reports and information for organization board and other stakeholders.
  • Works collaboratively and effectively with others
  • Assist in the development and implementation of various programs

Skills

  • Qualifications: · Master's degree in Curriculum an Instruction or Environmental Education or science with significant graduate work and/or postgraduate work in curriculum and instructional design in the environmental sciences or sciences. · Ten years related experience and/or training, preferably in a school setting or equivalent combination of education and experience · Excellent writing & communication skills · Willing to travel within U.S. · Excellent presentation skills · Must be able to dedicate more than 20 hours a week · (Virtual Volunteer Position)
